Issues people experience with both companies and independent workers.β€’ Companies send whoever’s available, which can disrupt your day and leave you feeling uncomfortable.
β€’ Independent workers don’t have a team behind them, there’s no cover when they’re away, and you’re left handling issues or starting over if they move on.

01

You have a consistent, supported team. You work with a small, familiar team who understand your routine. If someone’s unavailable, cover comes from someone you already know.

If your main support worker moves on, you’re not starting again. Antaylia manages everything behind the scenes and keeps things on track.

02

You’re left managing issues yourself. When something goes wrong, it falls back on you. It takes time, energy, and can be frustrating to deal with on your own.

02

We manage issues for you.Antaylia oversees your support and handles any issues on your behalf, so you’re not left chasing things up.

03

Support doesn’t show up.You’re expecting support, but no one arrives. It’s not the first time, and you’re left to manage it yourself.

03

We step in immediately. If a worker can’t attend, they contact us straight away. We call you, make a plan, and keep things running.

04

You’ve become the HR department.Rostering, onboarding, and feedback all fall to you, on top of everything else.

04

A team leader manages support. We manage the roster, the team, and the feedback. You set the direction, and we handle the rest.

05

Billing errors and follow-ups.You’ve been overcharged or invoiced incorrectly, and now you have to chase it up.

05

Accurate, transparent billing. We use Astatly, a leading NDIS platform, where invoices are linked to actual shift times, reducing human error and ensuring accurate charges.

06

You can feel hesitant to speak up.You’ve asked for changes before with previous support workers and felt the tension. You just want support that suits you.

06

You can speak up confidently.Speak with your support worker or Antaylia, whichever feels more comfortable. We listen, act on feedback, and adjust your support to suit you.

How It Works

NDIS Support That Works in South East Queensland

Here's how support actually starts.

You Choose Your Worker

Matt & Grace
Matt, Director
Grace, Director
We’ll begin with an open conversation to understand your needs and the kind of support you’re seeking.
We’ll organise meetings with a small number of support workers, so you can choose who best suits your needs.
You retain full control over who supports you, and no services will begin without your approval.

Your Support Is Managed

Antaylia, Team Leader
Antaylia, Team Leader
We review every shift note daily, so we stay up to date and act quickly on anything that needs attention.
We check in with you every 60 days to see how everything’s going.
At your request, your family or support coordinator can be included in the 60-day review.

The People of Hearts In Action

The People on Your Team

Everyone on this team is here because they care. The people we support are at the centre of everything we do.

Matt, Director, Hearts In Action
Matt
Director

Matt worked as a support worker and saw it first-hand. Participants and families were carrying stress that should have been handled by providers. He didn’t want to wait, so he started Hearts In Action. He’s now studying a Bachelor of Psychology to build better support systems.

Grace, Director, Hearts In Action
Grace
Director

Before Hearts In Action, Grace led a childcare centre. That’s where she saw how much it matters to feel safe, seen, and heard. It doesn’t only apply to children. Everyone should feel that way, and that’s the standard we expect of our team.

Antaylia, Team Leader, Hearts In Action
Antaylia
Team Leader

Antaylia grew up in a SIL home. She knows what good support feels like, and what poor support is like to live with. She saw workers come and go, and which ones made her feel comfortable at home. That’s why participants feel comfortable talking to her. She understands it better than most.

We are proud of every person on this team.

These people have been with us for a long time. They understand that a good support worker isn’t a hero. We’re all human, and we all need support. That’s why we’re proud to work alongside them.

Before You Book

Questions Before You Get Started

Support workers don’t move on often. If it does happen, you’re not starting over. Your worker is part of your team, not the whole thing.

You choose who comes next. We don’t send whoever’s available. Once you’ve chosen, we brief them on how your support works, what matters to you, and what doesn’t, so you’re not re-explaining everything.

Matt, Grace, and Antaylia already know your situation, and that knowledge stays with us, whether your worker changes or not.

Every support worker meets with Grace before they start, completing NDIS screening, Blue Card checks, past employment reference checks, and our internal training.

Once support begins, your team leader reads every shift note the same day and stays across what’s happening, so any issues are picked up early.

If at any point something doesn’t feel right, just let us know. We’ll have a conversation about what’s not working and see if it can be resolved in a way you’re comfortable with.

If not, we’ll introduce someone new for you to meet. We’ll keep working with you until you feel confident and comfortable with your support worker.

Support is personal, and we take that seriously. Your comfort comes first.

We’ve listened closely to the NDIS community and the challenges people have faced. That’s why we’ve built our system around clear communication, consistent service, and accountability at every level.

You’ll be able to contact your team leader directly, which makes difficult conversations easier and removes the stress of having to manage things yourself. It means you can focus more on your life, not the coordination and how your support is performing.

Behind the scenes, we have systems in place to make sure everything runs as it should. Records are kept in Astalty, a purpose-built NDIS platform, which helps reduce human error and ensures accurate, consistent record keeping.

In most workplaces, there’s a manager on-site who can see how things are going day to day and step in early if something feels off.

Support work is different. Your worker is in your home, and their employer isn’t there to observe each shift.

If you’re working with an independent support worker, there’s no built-in oversight. That means concerns rely on you to notice, raise, and manage.

Your team leader provides that extra layer of support.

They review shift notes daily, check in regularly with your worker, and stay in contact with you. If something starts to change, like notes not aligning with your goals or a worker’s attendance slipping, they can step in early.

You can contact your team leader anytime. They’ll also check in with you every 60 days to make sure things are working well and address any concerns.
