Support That Puts You First

Good support starts with trust. Our Logan support workers take the time to get to know you, because having the right person beside you can make all the difference.

For some people, support means help with daily routines. For others, it's getting out in the community, trying something new or working towards a bigger goal. We start with what matters to you and shape the support around it.

That can look completely different for each person. One participant wanted to protect his sheep from severe weather, so he and his support worker planned and built a shelter together. Or it could be a day out at VR Motorsport, going fishing, grabbing a coffee or joining a local social group.

Different goals. Different people. Support built around what matters to you.

Self-Managed

Managing your own funding means you pay providers directly and choose freely between registered and unregistered providers.

Plan-Managed

With plan management, a third party settles the invoices while your provider options stay wide open, registered or unregistered. Less admin for you, same freedom of choice.

NDIA-Managed

NDIA-managed plans pay registered providers directly through myplace, and only registered providers. That's us, so you're covered.

Know Your Plan

We Work With Every Plan Management Type

Hearts In Action works with self-managed, plan-managed and NDIA-managed funding.

Your Questions, Answered

NDIS Support Worker Logan City FAQs

How much does an NDIS support worker cost in Logan?

The rate depends on the type of support, the day of the week and the time it is delivered. For plan-managed and NDIA-managed participants, maximum rates are capped by the current NDIS Pricing Schedule. You can check current rates in our free NDIS price guide, or call us and we'll explain what applies to your support.

What's the difference between an NDIS support worker and a disability support worker?

There's very little difference in everyday use. A disability support worker is the broader job title, while NDIS support worker usually refers to someone providing support funded through an NDIS plan.

Do you provide disability care in Logan?

Yes. We generally call it disability support rather than care, but our Logan support workers can assist with personal care, daily living, getting out in the community and building greater independence.

Can I choose my own support worker?

Yes. We'll introduce you to someone we think could be a good fit, but the choice is yours. If the fit isn't right, tell us and we'll work with you to find someone else.

Can you work with NDIA-managed participants?

Yes. Hearts In Action is a registered NDIS provider, so we can support NDIA-managed participants as well as people with plan-managed and self-managed funding.

What areas of Logan do you service?

We support people across the City of Logan, from Springwood, Underwood and Daisy Hill in the north through to Beenleigh in the south and Browns Plains in the west. If you're in Logan, give us a call.

How quickly can a support worker start?

It depends on the support you need, your preferred times and finding the right worker. If we have a suitable worker available, support can often begin quickly. We'll give you a clear idea of timing when we speak with you.

What checks do your support workers have?

As a minimum, our support workers hold a current NDIS Worker Screening Clearance, Blue Card, First Aid and CPR certification, infection control training and a current driver's licence. Workers using their vehicle for support also need current registration and comprehensive car insurance.

Do you provide short-notice or respite support?

Depending on availability, we may be able to help. Call 07 2812 2406 with the dates and support you need and we'll let you know what we can arrange.

What if my current provider isn't working out?

You can change providers. We can talk through what you're looking for, introduce you to our team and coordinate a start date around any notice requirements in your current service agreement. You can learn more about Hearts In Action on our Logan NDIS provider page.

Is there a two-hour minimum for NDIS support?

NDIS support workers are employed under the SCHADS Award, which sets minimum engagement periods for many casual and part-time disability support workers. For this type of work, that is generally two hours. We'll always explain how minimum shift lengths apply before your support begins.
