Families Supported on the Gold Coast

The reason behind it

Why we built Hearts In Action

We kept hearing about the same challenges from NDIS participants on the Gold Coast. Antaylia explains how we operate so support is built around the participant.

Where support breaks down

Six things families tell us broke down before — and how we close each one.

If any of these sound familiar, you're not alone.

Where it breaks

The pattern we keep hearing.

How we built it

How we've fixed it.

It's a different face every shift. So you end up re-explaining the morning routine, the preferences, all of it.

01

You get two workers. So when one's unavailable, your backup already knows the routine.

02

A worker is placed. And there's no oversight from the company, or you've taken a worker with no team behind them and hope you can manage it.

02

Antaylia reads all shift notes daily. So we're always checking support is happening the way we agreed.

03

The worker just doesn't show up.There has been a number of cancellations over the past few weeks.

03

We're aware of our team's attendance rates. If there are any performance issues, we automatically raise our concerns directly with the support worker.

04

You're the manager. So roster gaps, new worker inductions, and performance issues all land on you.

04

Antaylia handles all of that.So workers, rosters, and feedback are sorted without you carrying it.

05

The invoice makes no sense. So you're left with random charges you have to dispute.

05

Invoices based on data. All of our invoices are generated from clock-in and clock-out times. Through a leading, NDIS-compliant platform for registered providers called Astalty. Minimising human error.

06

Fear of managing your support? We hear from participants who are afraid to speak up, in case it makes things worse.

06

A no-stress conversation. You discuss your concerns with Antaylia. Together, you make a plan. Antaylia talks to your support team. We handle it professionally.

The People of Hearts In Action

The People Behind Your Gold Coast Support

Matt, Grace, and Antaylia built the structure — alongside the full Gold Coast team. They're still the ones who answer for how it works.

Matt — Director, Hearts In Action
Matt
Director

Matt designed how Hearts In Action is structured. By building rostering, shift reviews, and daily communication around what Gold Coast families told us was missing. So you're never left holding things together yourself.

Grace — Director, Hearts In Action

Grace handles recruitment and training. By interviewing every support worker personally and putting them through internal training before they meet your family. So if they wouldn't pass her own standard, they don't get through the door.

Antaylia — Team Leader, Hearts In Action
Antaylia
Team Leader

Antaylia is the team leader behind your daily support. By reading every shift note the day it's written and following up directly when anything needs attention. So you always know what's happening.

Our professional support team.

Some are local to the Gold Coast but all understand we are there for the person we are supporting. Every worker is NDIS screened, Blue Card verified, and trained through our internal program.

Before You Book

What Gold Coast Families Want to Know First

If your support worker moves on, you're not starting from scratch. They're part of a wider team, not the whole of it. Matt, Grace, and your team leader are still there, and they already understand how your support works.

That understanding stays in place. We take the time to find the right replacement, and you're involved in choosing who that is. You're supported the whole way through.

Grace meets every support worker herself before they're introduced to any family. Each one completes NDIS screening, Blue Card police checks, and our internal training before starting.

From there, your team leader reviews every shift note on the same day. They stay connected with everyone involved, so your support is consistently monitored, not just reviewed later.

We put forward workers we believe you'll get along with, but the final choice is yours. You meet them first, with no commitment. If it's not right, we'll keep looking.

And if things change later, you can let us know at any time. We'll organise someone new without making it difficult.

Where things usually go wrong is communication, consistency, and accountability. That's exactly what we've focused on getting right.

You have one team leader who understands your support and is directly available. Your worker stays consistent, and every shift is checked the same day.

If something needs attention, you call and it's sorted. Most of the people we support have been through this before, and we respect that trust.

Between shifts, your team leader reviews every shift note on the same day and stays in contact with both you and your worker. So if something needs attention, it's picked up early.

If anything needs to change, you can call your team leader directly. Every 60 days, you'll also sit down together to review how everything is going.
