Care That Listens

Support That Puts You First

Support works best when it's built on trust. Our Logan support workers put the relationship first, because the right person showing up makes all the difference.

For some people it's personal care and the daily routine. For others it's getting out, a local event, a walk on the trails at Daisy Hill, or working toward something bigger. We start with what you want, build the plan around it, and keep checking it still fits.

No two participants want the same things from support, and that's the point. One participant was worried about his sheep getting caught out in a hailstorm, so he and his support worker planned a shelter, measured it up, and built it together from the ground up. Another brought an old outdoor table back to life over a few visits: sanded back, cleaned up, and restained, start to finish. Different goals, same idea, support built around what you actually want to do.

Real-World Support

What Our Logan Disability Support Workers Actually Do

The point of a support worker is simple: life should get easier once they're involved. That's the job of an NDIS support worker Logan City participants rely on, and here's what families use us for most:

Getting where you need to be, appointments, therapy, the shops, without relying on anyone else's schedule

Daily personal care from a consistent worker who respects your home and your way of doing things

A reason and a way to get out: community events, catch-ups, new experiences, your call

Steady encouragement while you take on new skills and work toward what's next

Reliable extra support when things get rocky or your usual arrangement falls over

Choose Your Own Worker

We line up workers who suit your needs and personality, and the final say is always yours. Change your mind later? That's fine too, we'll sort it without fuss.

One Team, Not a Revolving Door

The same Logan support worker or small team stays with you, so trust has a chance to build and nobody's starting from scratch each visit.

Built Around Your Choices

Your goals steer the support from day one, and we review together regularly so it keeps up as things change.

One Number, Start to Finish

Dial 07 2812 2406 and you're through to the Logan team who run your roster. Same number every time.

Self-Managed

Managing your own funding means you pay providers directly and choose freely between registered and unregistered ones. Either way, we can work with you.

Plan-Managed

With plan management, a third party settles the invoices while your provider options stay wide open, registered or unregistered. Less admin for you, same freedom of choice.

NDIA-Managed

NDIA-managed plans pay registered providers directly through myplace, and only registered providers. That's us, so you're covered.

Know Your Plan

We Work With Every Plan Management Type

What you pay is capped by the National Disability Insurance Scheme Pricing Schedule 2026-27. What changes from person to person is plan management, so here's a plain-English rundown of the three types and what each one means for you.

Don't know your plan type off the top of your head? That's completely normal. Call 07 2812 2406 and we'll figure it out together. Our free NDIS funding calculator can also show you how long your funding will last.

Your Questions, Answered

NDIS Support Worker Logan City FAQs

How much does an NDIS support worker cost in Logan?

Support worker prices are capped by the National Disability Insurance Scheme Pricing Schedule 2026-27, the scheme's official price list, and your plan funds them. The capped rate depends on the support type, the day of the week and the time of day. You can look up the current capped rate for any support in our free NDIS price guide, and we'll explain exactly what applies to your plan on the phone.

What's the difference between an NDIS support worker and a disability support worker?

In practice, very little. NDIS support worker points to work funded under an NDIS plan and guided by its categories, and disability support worker is the general job title. Most people swap freely between the two.

Do you provide disability care in Logan?

Yes, though we'd usually call it support rather than care. The disability care Logan families ask us about is the same work our support workers do every day: personal care, help around the home, getting out into the community, and building skills, all funded through your NDIS plan.

Can I choose my own support worker?

Yes. The choice sits with you from the first introduction, and it stays with you. Request a change at any point and we'll arrange it.

Can you work with NDIA-managed participants?

Yes, all three management types. Being NDIS-registered means NDIA-managed plans are no problem, and self- and plan-managed are just as straightforward.

What areas of Logan do you service?

We cover the whole City of Logan, from Springwood, Underwood and Daisy Hill in the north down to Beenleigh in the south, and across to Browns Plains. If you're in Logan, we can support you.

How quickly can a support worker start?

Nearly always sooner than people expect. Your needs and local availability set the pace, and we'll commit to a clear timeframe during your first call.

What checks do your support workers have?

Each support worker holds a current NDIS Worker Screening Check, a Blue Card, First Aid and CPR certification, infection control training, and relevant qualifications, including the Certificate III in Disability Support.

Do you provide short-notice or respite support?

Often, yes, availability permitting. Call 07 2812 2406 and we'll check what we can arrange for your dates.

Do you service all of Logan?

Yes. We cover the whole City of Logan, from the suburbs bordering Brisbane down to Beenleigh and everywhere in between.

What if my current provider isn't working out?

That happens, and it's okay. We handle the handover with your existing provider carefully so you stay supported the whole way through. Our Logan provider page covers how switching works.

Is there a 2 hour minimum for NDIS supports?

Usually yes, but it doesn't come from providers or the NDIS. The SCHADS Award, the industry award that covers support workers, sets minimum engagement periods, generally two hours for this kind of work. The rule exists so workers are treated fairly and have financial security: without reliable income, good support workers leave the industry, and consistent support depends on keeping them in it. We'll always be upfront about how minimum shifts apply to your supports before anything is signed.

How do I get a support worker through the NDIS?

If you already have an NDIS plan with Core funding, it's simpler than most people expect: no referral needed. You choose a provider, meet the worker they suggest, and support starts once you're happy with the fit. Call 07 2812 2406 and we'll introduce you to a disability support worker Logan families keep, before anything is signed. If you don't have an NDIS plan yet, you'd first check your eligibility and apply through the NDIA, and we're happy to point you in the right direction on the same call.

Do you have support worker jobs at Hearts In Action?

This page is for people looking for support, but we're always keen to meet great support workers. Reach out through our contact page and tell us about yourself.
