NDIS Budget Calculator: See How Long Your Funding Will Last
Enter your funding and supports into this free NDIS budget calculator to see your weekly spend, how long your budget will last, and what you'd have left at your plan review.
Your Funding
Flexible core supports for personal, day-to-day tasks.
Enter your current funding period below. We'll check it lasts until your next release, usually every 3 months.
Your Supports
Pick your supports and enter the rates from your service agreements or invoices. Can't find a support? Switch category above, or choose "Other".
Please note: this calculator is a planning estimate only, not financial or NDIS advice. Your actual rates come from your service agreements, and funding isn't always transferable between plan categories.
NDIS Funding Calculator FAQ
Quick answers about how the calculator works, what to enter, and what to do with the result.
How do I work out how long my NDIS funding will last?
Divide your remaining funding by what you spend each week. That's exactly what this NDIS budget calculator does: it adds up your weekly support costs (hourly supports, shifts and therapy sessions), divides your remaining budget by that number, and turns the answer into a date you can compare against your plan review.
Is my funding information saved anywhere?
No. Everything you type stays in your browser on your device. Nothing is sent to us or to anyone else, nothing is stored, and refreshing the page clears it completely. If you use the email button, the email is created in your own mail app and sent by you; it never passes through us.
What rates should I enter?
Use the rates from your own service agreements or recent invoices, as they're the numbers that actually come out of your funding. NDIS support prices are capped by the National Disability Insurance Scheme Pricing Schedule 2026-27, and the caps change with the day and time of the support, so evenings and weekends cost more, and therapy caps vary by profession. If you're not sure, your plan manager or provider can tell you.
Can I calculate my whole plan at once?
We recommend one budget category at a time, for example your Core supports budget, then your Capacity Building budget separately. Funding isn't always interchangeable between categories, so separate calculations give you a truer picture than one combined total.
My funding is released every 3 months, can I still use this?
Yes. The NDIA calls these funding periods. Choose "In funding periods" at the top of the calculator, then enter the amount released for your current period, what you've spent so far, and your next release date. The calculator shows whether this period's funding lasts until your next release, and how much you can spend per week to make it stretch.
Why can't I find my support in the list?
The list only shows supports that belong to the budget category you've picked. For example, physiotherapy is usually funded from Capacity Building (Improved Daily Living Skills), so it won't appear when you're calculating a Core budget. If a support seems missing, switch the budget category above the calculator, or choose "Other" and type it in. The groupings reflect the NDIS Support Catalogue, but your own plan is always the source of truth for what sits where.
What if my funding won't last until my plan review?
The earlier you know, the more options you have. You can adjust how you use your supports, talk it through with your provider or support coordinator, and if your circumstances have changed you can contact the NDIA about a plan reassessment. What you want to avoid is running out with no warning, which is exactly what this calculator is for.
Does Hearts In Action set the prices in this calculator?
No, there are no prices in this calculator. You enter your own rates from your own agreements. NDIS price limits come from the National Disability Insurance Scheme Pricing Schedule 2026-27, and this tool is a free NDIS plan calculator for any participant, whether or not you use our services.
