*The NDIS does not publish a weekday night item for community access, so the weekday evening item (04_103_0125_6_1) and its $81.07 rate apply. Overnight support is claimed under the personal care items, including the night-time sleepover item for inactive overnight shifts.
High intensity supports are capped higher, from $79.60 per hour on weekday daytimes to $176.84 on public holidays.

How NDIS price limits work
Every price in this tool is capped by the NDIS Pricing Schedule. If your plan is agency-managed or plan-managed, a provider cannot charge more than the limit for that support item, and many charge less. If you self-manage your funding, you can agree on any price with your provider.
The national limit applies in non-remote areas of every state, so a support worker on the Gold Coast is capped at the same rate as one in Sydney or Melbourne. Remote and very remote areas have higher limits to reflect the extra cost of delivering support there.
Rates also change with the time of day and the day of the week. An evening shift is capped higher than a daytime shift, and Sundays and public holidays are capped higher again. That's why the same support worker can cost your plan a different amount per shift depending on when the shift happens.
What registered NDIS providers can charge
Every rate in this guide is a maximum, capped by the NDIS. A registered provider can charge less than the capped rate, but never more, and the line items on your invoice should match the rates you see here. If something on an invoice does not line up, you are entitled to ask your provider to show you the line item.

The New NDIS Price Guide: What Changed on 1 July 2026
The headline change for 2026-27 is the name and the format: the NDIA now publishes price limits in the NDIS Pricing Schedule, which replaced the price tables in the former NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits (PAPL). New price limits took effect on 1 July 2026, and every rate on this page reflects them.
This page keeps the same address every year. When the 2027-28 pricing is released, expected on 1 July 2027, the tool and the tables here are refreshed to match, so it's worth bookmarking if you check rates more than once a year.

How much can a support worker cost under the NDIS in 2026-27?
For standard one-to-one support in non-remote areas, the hourly price limit is $73.58 on weekday daytimes, $81.07 on weekday evenings, $103.54 on Saturdays, $133.50 on Sundays and $163.46 on public holidays. These prices are capped by the NDIS Pricing Schedule 2026-27, effective 1 July 2026.
What is the NDIS Pricing Schedule?
From 1 July 2026 the NDIA publishes price limits in the NDIS Pricing Schedule, which replaced the price tables in the former NDIS Pricing Arrangements and Price Limits (PAPL). It lists every support item number, name, unit and the maximum price a provider can charge for agency-managed and plan-managed participants.
Do NDIS price limits change from state to state?
No. The national price limit applies in non-remote areas of every state and territory, including all of South East Queensland. Higher limits apply only in areas classified as remote (40 percent loading) or very remote (50 percent loading) under the Modified Monash Model.
Can a provider charge more than the price limit?
Not for agency-managed or plan-managed funding. Price limits are the maximum that can be charged, and providers are free to charge less. Self-managed participants can agree to any price with their provider, although most compare against the schedule.
What does quote required mean?
Some support items, such as specialised assistive technology and home modifications, have no set price limit. The provider gives a quote and the price is agreed before the support is delivered.
When is the new NDIS price guide coming out?
The NDIA releases new pricing on 1 July each year. The current NDIS price guide 2026-27, officially the NDIS Pricing Schedule, took effect on 1 July 2026, and that's what this page shows. The next full price guide is expected on 1 July 2027. The NDIA sometimes publishes smaller pricing updates during the year as well.
